All training schools registered with BAThH have to comply with the BAThH Core Curriculum, HRF Learning Outcomes and NOS as outlined in the About BAThH section on the website.  Anyone wishing to apply to register their training school should apply to the Secretary in the first instance and request an application form.

Continual Professional Development (CPD)

Introduction

It is widely accepted in the majority of professions that there is a need for Continual Professional Development (CPD). Medical practitioners, Dentists, Nurses, Librarians, Counsellors and others all have some form of requirement for keeping informed and up to date in their respective fields

CNHC’s Continuing Professional Development Policy came into effect in 2011. The aim of their policy is to ensure that standards are maintained amongst all members.

BAThH are implementing their CPD Policy for Members so that they may demonstrate a continued commitment to maintain and enhance standards within the profession.

What is CPD?

CPD is a learning experience for professionals that allows for growth and development, broadening of competence, update knowledge and skills to ensure that the Practitioner has the capacity to practise safely, effectively and legally within their practice, for their own benefit, for the benefit of clients, for the profession and for that of society.

BAThH CPD Requirements

BAThH requires that members complete 25 hours of CPD per year. 15 hours of this requirement should be hypnotherapy related and the remaining 10 hours for personal or business development.
This requirement will also meet those set by CNHC.

Meeting the Standards

BAThH Practitioners must aim to ensure their CPD enhances their professional practice and improves the service provided to clients. They are advised to keep an up to date log of CPD activities, a downloadable template is available at the bottom of this webpage.
BAThH Practitioners must declare on renewal of their membership each year that they have completed their CPD hours for the preceding year.

CPD Audit

Each September from 2014 BAThH will randomly select 15% of members and ask them to submit their logs for the annual audit.
