Many people come to hypnotherapy or NLP when they’re tired of feeling a certain way, ending up in the same place, or knowing they want more but feeling unsure where to start. You may have already tried to make changes, only to feel frustrated when you struggle to maintain momentum or find yourself falling back into familiar habits, thoughts or emotional patterns.

Hypnotherapy and NLP can be particularly helpful when part of you knows what you “should” be doing, but another part still feels held back. These approaches can support change at a deeper level, helping you shift the patterns beneath the surface so you can begin thinking, feeling and responding in a different way.

You don’t need to feel confident, certain, or have everything figured out. But if you’re ready for things to feel different, that’s enough to begin.

I’m Joanne, a Master Clinical Hypnotherapist and Master NLP Practitioner, specialising in helping people change patterns that feel difficult to shift through willpower or conscious effort alone.

I’m also a Master Transformational Coach, and offer a personalised, integrative approach which can include EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques/Tapping), NNRT (Negative Neuro-Pathway Reversal Therapy), life coaching and breathwork to support meaningful and lasting change.


How I can help

Hypnotherapy and NLP can be used to support a wide range of issues, particularly where patterns feel difficult to change through thinking alone.

What makes my approach different

Sessions are tailored to you rather than based on a one-size-fits-all script or process, creating a personalised and effective therapeutic experience. Depending on your goals, preferences and what will be most effective for you, our work together may include:

  • Hypnotherapy – working with the subconscious mind to support deeper change
  • NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) – shifting unhelpful thought patterns and beliefs
  • EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques/Tapping) – a gentle somatic (body-based) approach to reduce emotional intensity
  • NNRT (Negative Neuro-Pathway Reversal Therapy) – using bilateral eye movement (similar to EMDR) to help process and release stuck emotional patterns
  • Life Coaching – creating clarity, direction and practical steps forward
  • Breathwork – calming the nervous system and supporting emotional balance

Hypnotherapy can be particularly helpful in shifting patterns at a subconscious level. As a highly qualified Master Clinical Hypnotherapist, I create deeply personalised and carefully structured hypnotherapy sessions tailored specifically to you, rather than using generic scripts. In addition to traditional hypnotherapy approaches such as suggestion, where appropriate I can draw on more advanced approaches such as regression, inner child work or Gestalt techniques. We will discuss your goals together in advance, and I will prepare a bespoke hypnotherapy session for our time together.

With NLP, we can work with the patterns of thought, language, belief and behaviour that may be shaping your experience. This can help you create new ways of thinking, feeling and responding that feel more natural and automatic.

By combining hypnotherapy, NLP and other approaches, we can work not only with the surface-level issue, but also with the deeper patterns, beliefs and emotional responses connected to it. This allows us not only to understand what’s been happening, but also to change how it feels and how you respond moving forward.

My approach is warm, supportive and non-judgemental… but also empowering. I will meet you where you are, and gently challenge you when needed to help you move forward. I will tailor our work to meet your needs and personality.

How we work together

Sessions are available online, by phone or in person across Dorset, including Bournemouth, Poole, Christchurch, Ferndown, Wimborne and surrounding areas.

Hypnotherapy sessions can be delivered online or in a private therapy room. Online hypnotherapy can be just as effective as in person, allowing you to relax in the comfort of your own space. I also have access to private therapy rooms if you prefer to work in person.

For NLP, coaching and other transformational work, I can also offer flexible options such as walk-and-talk sessions, coaching in nature or informal settings where appropriate.

I work with adults and young people aged 16+.
